Dear lazyweb, if I want to run an XP instance infrequently on my Mac whats my best option? Parallels? Boot Camp? VMware?

If it's infrequent and you don't need to have both running at the same time, probably boot camp. I've had good luck with Parallels, but I know VMware has come on strong lately with a good product. In short, you can't go wrong with any of those choices.
